In the cardiac services department at Lexington Regional, our health care team gets to the heart of each patient’s needs. We provide nuclear studies, echocardiograms, Doppler studies, cardiology clinics, and cardiac rehabilitation.

We believe education is vital to good health. Therefore, we offer on-going heart disease risk factor education, congestive heart failure education, and Diabetes education.

Matters of the Heart

The Matters of the Heart educational group is available to the community to educate participants on heart health, including proactive measures to ensure your heart is healthy.

Monthly sessions are offered at no cost and feature discussions and speakers about a wide range of heart health topics. Everyone, including those looking to prevent heart disease, are welcome to attend.

See the Calendar of Events page for upcoming meetings.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation is a program offered by Lexington Regional Health Center to help people recover from a heart attack, stent placement, bypass surgery, or valve repair or replacement.

The program is two-fold; it is a monitored exercise program tailored to each participant's condition and ability, as well as an educational program based on that patient’s needs. The goal of our cardiac rehab staff is to improve health and fitness, help the participant return to his/her activities, and work to reduce the risk of future heart problems.

The cardiac rehabilitation department can be reached at (308) 324-8315.
