Lexington Regional Health Center is here to serve your surgical needs. We have a dedicated staff of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Surgical Technologists, and CRNAs with over 250 combined years of experience to ensure all your needs are met.

Our health care team always strives to keep pace with the continuous evolution of change in the operating room environment. Upgrading to HDTV provides precise, life-like images which will optimize our patients’ surgical success with less trauma, reduced anesthesia, and a higher level of safety.

Anesthesia services are available 24 hours a day as needed for all scheduled procedures, emergency surgical procedures, and obstetrical pain management. The emergency room staff is also here to assist in sedation or advanced airway management.

Coordinating Your Surgery 

Once it is decided that you will have surgery at Lexington Regional, you will meet with our Surgical Care Coordinator, Ladona Souchek.  Your physician writes orders for the surgical procedure which make their way to the surgical care coordinator.  She then schedules the procedure and contacts your or you are sent straight from a doctor’s clinic to visit with the coordinator.  She the collects your health information and ensures that pre-operative testing results are obtained. 

Patients have the opportunity to pre-register in the business office as well as sign consents for surgery ahead of time. Ladona will answer any questions you many about surgery and provide you with necessary information to help you prepare. It is also a time for the you to plan for post-operative recovery and identify needs. For scheduled procedures, this shortens the amount of time a you are required to be at the hospital before surgery and promotes safe, organized care focusing on optimal patient outcomes.
